OUR WHY

Toreon believes that everyone is entitled to digital security. As a coach in digital security, we believe that we can make companies and people feel demonstrably safer in the digital world of today and tomorrow. We believe that people play a very important role in achieving a safe digital professional and private life. Not only do they make decisions about technology, but also about their actions in this digital world. We want to contribute to this belief by coaching, providing insights, and learning to adopt the behavior in order to protect against the constantly evolving digital threats. We contribute to making tomorrow’s digital world safer and help to avoid losses due to cybercrime.

THE WHAT

This Privacy & InformatieVeiligheid OpleidingsTraject (PIVOT) will develop the High Impact Awareness & Learning (HIAL) Framework that is based on educational sciences and aims to increase demonstrably and effectively the cybersecurity maturity of both individuals and companies.

THE HOW

This Framework focuses on Toreon’s mission to “demonstrably and effectively increase cybersecurity maturity” and will be shaped thanks to the PIVOT project that will develop the following components:

• Measurement system to measure maturity;
• Awareness training tailored to demonstrably increase the cybersecurity maturity of the individual;
• Program “Tailor-made learning program for the individual in function of the personal learning profile, maturity, and context”.

THE ANSWER TO PROBLEMS TODAY

The High Impact Awareness & Learning Framework will also be an answer to the typical problems identified in the existing awareness and training courses and programs:

• Awareness training courses are seldom tailored to the maturity of the individual and professional context, which reduces the effectiveness;
• Awareness training programs do not focus on demonstrable changes in behavior;
• Not all companies have sufficient financial resources to invest in basic cybersecurity awareness training to make their company more digital safe.

PIVOT is a project in which Toreon combines its extensive expertise in cybersecurity and awareness with the educational HILL framework. Toreon is supported by the KULeuven and ESF.

Thanks to this support, Toreon is also able to give all SMEs access to a basic cybersecurity training, by making it available free of charge to any company wishing to increase its cybersecurity maturity.
